I wake up, it’s dark. I leave the office at the end of the day, it’s dark. Winter is most certainly creeping up on us and it’s only going to get colder and more miserable.
The Winter months are also notoriously difficult within Recruitment as we enter November/December. Clients tend to be working busy to ensure everything is tied up before the end of the year and will often resume their talent hunt in the new year. Candidates also look to the new year as the time to begin a job hunt and will hold off until January.
However, it isn’t all doom and gloom. A number of candidates will want to begin before the new year and settle in to a new job before launching themselves in to a new year of employment. There will of course be new positions opening with clients just don’t expect it to be as abundant as previous months.
So, focus all your efforts on the new positions which do come through and use the Winter months as a chance to build relationships with your clients and candidates, letting them know you’re still there!
